Corrine and Zac’s beautiful hinterland wedding just goes to show that a rainy wedding day can actually be a blessing!
From their romantic ceremony in our sweet stone chapel, to their floral-filled marquee reception, these guys created one seriously elegant wedding using rich berry tones, glamorous table settings and personalised details. We are super excited to share all of the beauty from this real Gold Coast wedding below!
About the day:
Corrine and Zac tied the knot in an intimate chapel ceremony featuring statement floral arrangements at their altar and signing table, with beautiful garden views filtering in through our glass windows. Following their gorgeous nuptials, Bird & Boy photography captured the most amazing rainy-day bridal party photos against moody grey skies, taking full advantage of our lush hinterland surrounds, manicured gardens and white gazebo while guests enjoyed croquet on the lawn.
Inside the marquee, round tables were dressed with gold sequin runners, white Tiffany chairs, mirrored centrepieces and floral arrangements in deep hues of burgundy and plum for a classic luxe look. Their elegant setting was complete with statement chandeliers, the sweetest first dance, and a surprise fireworks display to wrap up the night!

From the bride:
Both Zac and I would like to thank Emma, Mel and all of the Coolibah Downs team for helping us create the wedding of our dreams! We received so many compliments from guests about the buffet food and the beautiful chapel ceremony. Your support leading up to and on the day made everything run so smoothly - even when the rain rolled in! We can't thank you enough...
Describe your wedding vibe:
The feel we went for with our wedding was a classic, romantic theme with a touch of glam. Coolibah Downs Estate suited this perfectly with the stunning white marquee with chandelier lighting and tiffany chairs. We paired beautiful peonies and roses in different pink tones for the table centrepieces with gold sequin table runners to really stand out against the white draping.
What was your favourite moment from the day:
Our favourite part of the day was definitely our first dance under the 'Love Tree'. It felt so unique to be dancing outside and made it even more special and romantic. We also can’t forget the look on our guest's faces when the surprise fireworks display went off.
